This method of posting (name and email address required, and the fields are already filled for me) suits me fine. I doubt I will bother going to wordpress to create an account, avatar, profile, etc. As I said this morning, I already have one for posting at Ritholtz’s blog, and I’m still indignant about it not being of any use for a different wordpress blog. I guess I’m just used to the google/blogspot approach where things were more universal.

I guess image size is pretty important here, as it just puts them on at actual size. Yours was probably some giant loon image you took yourself, while my silver one was just a 300 x 300 that I stole off the web and the bacon one was 576 x 384.

I think people are just going to have to be careful with image size. It looks like it has room for stuff maybe about 800 wide. Do any plugins automatically resize?

I was looking for a plugin to limit size. I think I am going to have to be willing to mess with code – I have no idea what I am doing, but you can usually back track. I will try re-sizing my loon.
He really disliked me, though. Almost right. But I think his frustrations just boiled over on to me. I never took it personally.
And yes, a width of 800 seems to work very well.
This is actually better than at that other place. It was a pain for everyone to have to put their pics and charts on a website like flickr or imgur first before being able to post them. Here we won’t have to bother with that.

I have no idea why EO went on moderation again – but I did change my email address associated with the account, and for some reason I got a notification there and had to approve it. Be patient with me … it is my first time. And Pete is off the bench and ready to roll.
But yes, preview and edit for comments is my next goal. And some formatting. I was able to get a great one for the posts, but it didn’t show up in the comments. It must be possible, for a lot of this is like watching tfmr grow. I am guessing the tech team knew next to nothing and were making it up as they went.
